Producer and distributor Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations has acquired the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana distribution rights for Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi-starrer Ramayana. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the ambitious mythological epic is gearing up for a worldwide release on November 5th, coinciding with Diwali.
SVC’s association with the film is expected to give the epic a wide theatrical release across the Telugu states. Dil Raju has been a prominent force in Telugu film distribution for decades, and his involvement adds further weight to the film’s release in the region.
Produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash, Ramayana aims to take Indian mythology and cultural heritage to a global audience through a large-scale cinematic adaptation. The film’s trailers have generated considerable interest, with its visual effects and presentation of the epic drawing attention. The international trailer’s music, composed by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, has also become a talking point.

The makers are organising a grand Telugu pre-release event in Hyderabad on October 19, with major members of the cast and crew expected to attend. The event is set to be a key promotional milestone ahead of the film’s theatrical debut.
Ramayana is planned as a two-part cinematic saga, with the second instalment scheduled for Diwali 2027. With a major production scale, a prominent cast and Dil Raju handling distribution in the Telugu states, the film is positioning itself as one of the significant theatrical releases of this Diwali.
