Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas have come together after a gap of two decades for Aadarsha Kutumbam AK47. The movie released after several postponements on 30th October, promising a family fun entertainer. Let's discuss about the movie in detail.
Plot:
Chitti Babu (Venkatesh) and his wife Swarna (Srinidhi Shetty) are a middle-class couple trying to find a way to arrange money for their son Sarva (Prajwal)'s heart operation. Swarna takes 4 lakhs debt and Sampoorna (Yuvina Parthavi) loves Abdullah and Chitti Babu gets frustrated due to the family circus. He wins Rs.100 crores in lottery.
They shift to Elite Villas, House No.47. Meanwhile, a gang of robbers who tend to attack people who suddenly become filthy rich. Now, they plan attack this family. SP (Nara Rohith) is trying to catch them. Can he stop them from attacking Chitti Babu's family? Will there be a twist in the tale with this family?
Analysis:
Venkatesh is good in this fun role and Trivikram made it a tailor-made character for the senior star to deliver big. His comic timing, dialogue delivery, screen presence have been apt for the role. Srinidhi Shetty is good, Nara Rohith is fine. Nivetha Pethuraj doesn't leave a mark.
Satya's comedy and Raghu Babu are good. Especially, Satya is phenomenal in the second half police station stretch. While the movie is light-hearted and mixed crime with dark humour, it tends to be over-stretched at places.
Trivikram Srinivas writing is not at the same level as his previous good films. While there are several situations where his trademark punchlines work big time, he is not consistent. Also, the editing in second half looks rushed and climax doesn't entirely work.
Still, production values, Ravi K Chandran cinematography work out. S Thaman's BGM and songs are a letdown. Satya's one-liners, interval episode and several comical stretches make it a watchable fun film.
Positives:
Venkatesh's performance
Satya's one-liners
Interval episode
Second half Police Station scene
Occasional Trivikram mark punches
Negatives:
Rushed editing
Several scenes stretch long
Music and BGM
Bottomline: Trivikram doesn't fire all cylinders but delivers a watchable entertainer.
Rating: 2.75/5
