Why is Laila getting trolled so heavily?

Laila movie starring Vishwak Sen released on 14th February and turned out to be the actor's biggest disaster till date. Flops, hits, blockbusters and disasters are common in any actor's career. But Laila seems to be attracting more negativity for the actor than any other film.
The main reason for such a huge uproar against the film is the crass and unintelligent adult content. Even with adult jokes, a well-crafted movie with creativity and some innovative ideas could have been enjoyable. But this sort of content did not click with anyone absolutely no one.
Such disasters have not been new for any actor. From legendary actors to big stars to current actors everyone faced such bad films. But why Laila is getting targeted even more? The answer could be pointed to two factors. One, Vishwak Sen showcased more promise from his early movies and currently, not being able to deliver on it.
Many people found a great connect with him for his diverse choices like Falaknuma Das, Ee Nagaraniki Emayyindi, HIT First Case, Ashoka Vanamalo Arjuna Kalyanam. Even though movie failed, Paagal did leave a good impression. But from Ori Devuda, his films have been progressively declining in quality, with Gaami as exception.
His own directorial, Das Ka Dhamki, can be classified as the last film that did have a certain hype prior to the release. His recent films - Gangs of Godavari, Mechanic Rocky and Laila struggled to find traction. Still, Laila with his lady get-up did evoke some interest and buzz but promotional material did not live up to it.
So, the disappointment in him choosing same old scripts did result some outlash. Second reason is his attitude. Unnecessary controversial statements against critics and slightly over-the-top statements did result in even bigger trolls. Fame is like two edge sword and if we miss the balance it can attack us too.
Looks like Vishwak Sen is going through the same. He needs to choose his films wisely from now on and look to not over hype them just for the sake of it. His concentration on content should also increase as there are many slips in his previous two films.
Adult content films when they don't work can damage the reputation and his immediate next should be a highly content oriented strong film. Let's hope he does concentrate on giving something fresh and nuanced after these big debacles rather than becoming defensive.
