Sree Vishnu has become one of the most reliable entertainers in Telugu Cinema and his market value has been growing with each film. Now, his Vishnu Vinyasam has released on 27th February. Leading Lady Nayan Sarika has impressed audiences with her performances in AAY and KA, previously. Let's discuss about the movie directed by Yadunaath Maruthi Rao and produced by Sumanth Naidu, in detail.

Plot:

Vishnu (Sree Vishnu) believes in astrology, vastu to an extent that it feels too extreme even for staunch believers. He uses neighbor's toilet as their own toilet has bad vastu and pays rent for it too. He is Junior Lecturer in Ongole College and Lectures fear if he will become lecturer, their jobs will be in danger. Maneesha (Nayan Sarika) joins as a lecturer in the college even though she seems to be rich.

She smokes and drinks but has an issue with her marriage. She gets desperate about it and asks people to marry her. She accepts Vishnu as her Junior Lecturer and immediately starts to flirt with him. He is taken aback but starts to fall in love with her as her astrological signs and report match with him. Will he able to accept her with issue? What is the issue? Why she became so desperate? Watch the movie to know more.

Analysis:

Sree Vishnu once again delivers a funny performance in this character and he shoulders the entire narrative. His dialogue delivery and comic timing are on spot. He takes all the possible routes to entertain and his screen presence is very delightful. His chemistry with Nayan Sarika is brilliant. She looked beautiful and performed aptly for the role. She is very believable and natural in the romance.

Brahmaji, Satya, Satyam Rajesh, Murli Sharma are under utilised and even Srikanth Iyyengar doesn't really spark laughs while the makers tried to use him in second hour. The story is built in a funny manner in the first hour with Sree Vishnu and Nayan Sarika relationship in the fore front. But the revelation of the issue behind her marriage and the resolution are not handled with same level of comical impact.

Writer-director concentrated more on Sree Vishnu and his ability to carry the film while the writing is not that free flowing. The scenes looked a little bit random at places and trying to write unpredictable characters, he did take predictable routes. The film after some solid start fizzles in the second hour with more similar gags and story seem to be stuck at places. Better screenplay and narrative would have served it better.

Technically, movie doesn't offer anything new but cinematography is fine. Production design and production values could have been better. Editing feels random at places like few scenes have been removed in final hours. Overall, Vishnu Vinyasam loses impact and ends up being a movie that could have been much better with better writing.

Positives:

Sree Vishnu Performance
Nayan Sarika Beauty and Performance
First Hour Comic Scenes

Negatives:

Second Hour Draggy
Very Predictable Flow
Impactless Resolution
Emotions did not work as anticipated

Bottomline:

While First Hour is decent, second half loses the steam and Vinyasam entertains only partly.

Rating: 2.25/5
