Naveen Vadde made a great impression on audiences in late 1990's and early 2000's. But he lost his market due to continuous flops and slowly stopped working. He made a comeback to big screens with Transfer Trimurthulu in the direction of Kamal Teja Narla. The movie stars Raashi Singh as leading lady and it released, Today. Let's discuss about the film in detail.
Plot:
Police Constable Trimurthulu (Vadde Naveen) gets transferred 56 times in 7 years of his service. His sincerity and honesty force him to face wrath of his senior officials. His wife Lakshmi (Raashi Singh) and kid are accustomed to these transfers. At one meeting, he spoils Chief Minister (Shilpa Tulaskar)'s plans to launch her son as a future leader by staging a Draupadi Vastrapaharanam style disrespect towards her that would enhance their political chances. Hence, he gets transferred to an old police station that had his father Srinivasulu (Devi Prasad) as a constable. He finds one 20-year case that his father could not solve and what happens next is the story.
Analysis:
Vadde Naveen had a strong screen presence in his early career films but at this age, he seems to have lost it. While he did put in a lot of efforts to dance, fight and in his performance, the script doesn't suit him. There is no organic flow of emotions and the film drags any chance at real emotional gravitas. The script has dated feel and the emotions feel fabricated.
A story that feels like a cross between Kavaludaari and Jolly LLB seems completely lost in script. As a screenplay, it feels jaded, lazy and too repetitive. None of the scenes have the desired effect as the makers wanted. Most of the scenes fail to register any sort of weight and falls into the category of trying to ape something that worked.
Music by Kalyan Nayak is too laborious and none of the departments really deliver. The drag in the second hour just frustrates audiences while techncially it could have been better. The film tries to re-establish Naveen Vadde's comeback but ends up being just another attempt with once popular star in action genre.
Positives:
Vadde Naveen efforts
Raashi Singh looks
Basic idea
Negatives:
Dated Narrative
Jaded Style Story
Outdated Screenplay
Music
Bottomline: Very Disappointing affair
Rating: 2/5
