Yash's Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups appears to have entered a tricky phase after its theatrical run, but the much-discussed Rs 30 crore OTT figure may not be the final picture. The movie is currently in talks with multiple streaming platforms for its digital release.

However, according to the latest update, no OTT deal has been locked yet, meaning the figures circulating in trade circles cannot be treated as an official valuation.

The Rs.30 crore number gained attention following reports that the film’s digital valuation had dropped sharply after its underwhelming theatrical performance. Earlier reports had suggested that the makers were expecting a deal above Rs 200 crore, while an earlier offer was said to be considerably higher than the numbers now being discussed.

The theatrical response has clearly changed the streaming conversation. Toxic was mounted as a major pan-Indian release with Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth, but the film failed to sustain the momentum expected from its scale.

For now, the makers are evaluating offers and they did not get Rs.30 crore deal as the final one. As the movie became one of the most trolled after being one of the most anticipated, still, producers KVN Productions and Yash are anticipating better deals considering the popularity of all the star cast.
