Story:

The story of 'SVSC' is all about a straight forward guy Peddodu (Venkatesh) and a practical guy Chinnodu (Mahesh Babu). Their father Relangi (Prakash Raj) is a kind-hearted man who is very passionate about human values and relations. The story takes a turn when few conflicts and ego clashes arise and eventually paves way for differences between the brothers. Who is the man behind these differences and what situations have lead to these conflicts forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

The movie goes flat with uninteresting screenplay and the narration is very slow. Director Srikanth Addala has faltered in the execution and made the movie without any commercial flavor. There are lot of ups and downs in the movie, which will leave you in splits and feel bored to an extent. The railway station scene where Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu hesitate to talk to each other, the love track of Mahesh Babu and Samantha, the hospital scene where Kota confess about his mistakes to Prakash Raj and the penultimate scenes in Bhadrachalam stands out. The timing of the songs is questionable as the much hyped title track 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' was misplaced. Also, we have observed few walkouts for the Vana Chinuku song on Venkatesh and Anjali.

Mahesh Babu who can pull off any character with ease has carried the movie on his shoulders. His comic timing is par excellence. Venkatesh as a straight forward guy has come up with a decent performance. Though, the character is underplayed and lacks novelty, his determination has made it look existent. Srikanth Addala was unsuccessful to make use of the star cast despite having potential performers like Prakash Raj and Jayasudha. On the whole, 'SVSC' is based on the human values and feelings that makes you involve in the movie at times. A proper treatment could have made it more exciting.

TeluguOne Perspective:

Firstly, producer Dil Raju should deserve a round of applause for bringing both Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu together. Every penny he spent is visible on screen and made the movie look grand. He has put his heart out and made a clean family drama. The story telling is good and its high time for any director to carry the same tempo till the end. The poor narration hampers the flow and lacks conviction. The story too goes on a predictable note and the inappropriate timing of the songs too spoil the mood of the audience. Except for the marriage song, none of them fail to impress.

The second half is cliched be it in the run time or in generating emotion content. Other side, its a delight to see Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu complement each other. They have acted as if they were real brothers and the audience too relate themselves at some point of time with both the characters. Srikanth Addala has done a neat job and it would have been brilliant if he could have done proper homework on the script. Overall, 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu', is a clean family drama that is good only in parts. Go watch it without any expectations.

Performances:

Mahesh Babu has delivered an outstanding performance and he is the saving grace. His wit and humor will be received well by the audience. Venkatesh is decent and acted with determination. Samantha looks bubbly and she is good in her limited role. Anjali is excellent and looks innocent as a village belle. Prakash Raj is impressive in a very optimistic role. Jayasudha, Rohini Hattangidi, Rao Ramesh, Ravi Babu, Tnaikella Bharani are standard. Ramaprabha is OK.

Technicalities:

Marthand K Venkatesh's Editing could have been better. Cinematography by KV Guhan is top notch. Music by Mickey J Meyer is OK and Mani Sharma's background score is an asset. Dialogues are good.

Positives:

Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh combo
Background score
Cinematography

Negatives:
Predictable story line
Slow narration
lack of entertainment, commercial elements

Final word:
Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC) is a clean family entertainer that is good only in parts. Go watch it with out any expectations.
