Surya Turns 40 – What An Interesting Journey!

After Superstar Rajnikanth, we have to say it’s Surya who has scored big at Telugu big office. He has become a heartthrob with movies like Ghajini and his Yamudu made him a super star here. Debuting into Tamil films in 1997, Surya took his time before growing to lead roles and becoming a superstar finally.

Today he commands a sea of fans in both Tamil and Telugu, and his movies easily get 20 crore share at Tollywood box office unlike any other star Tamil hero. Movies like Ghajini, Yuva, Yamudu, Brothers, 7th Sense and the recent flop Sikander have took his craze to new level. Top shot directors like Mani Ratnam, A R Murugadoss, K S Ravikumar and Hari always awe about Surya and films like Rakt Charitra proved how Surya could deliver some swashbuckling performance.

As Surya continues his film journey quite interestingly, there are other bright things we could look in him. He’s involved in a lot of philanthropic activities through his Agaram Foundation where he takes care of education for deserving students and kids. Recently he turned producer with Jyothika’s comeback movie ’36 Vayadhinile’.

Born on July 23, 1975, Surya celebrates his 40th birthday today. Many many happy returns to the most talented actor and a good human being.
