
Producer Supriya Yarlagadda has been appointed as one of the 18 members of the reconstituted Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), announced by the Government of India with immediate effect.
The newly constituted board features several prominent personalities from the Indian film industry, including Manoj Joshi, Priyadarshan, Suniel Shetty, Preity Zinta, Pankaj Tripathi, Pallavi Joshi and Prosenjit Chatterjee, among others.

The CBFC is responsible for examining films intended for public exhibition in India and certifying them according to the applicable guidelines. Supriya's appointment brings her experience in the Telugu film industry to the reconstituted board. The inclusion of filmmakers, actors and other industry professionals reflects the board's diverse representation across Indian cinema.
