Analysis:
Ravi Babu delivers a very strong performance and precise direction. Satyanand's screenplay ensures the narrative logic remains gripping from the start. The first half sets a great tempo with engaging introduction scenes and a mind-blowing interval twist.
Ravi Babu did give a good performance apt to the story and character. The girl also did well. But the typical Ravi Babu style performances from all other actors slightly makes it monotonous. Still, with several fights that tend to stick to awe factor do work. Not a different story but execution makes it engaging enough.
The second half reveals an emotional backstory that tries to justify Rudra's violent rampage against anti-social elements, which works in parts. Technical aspects shine throughout the film. The background score and cinematography are significant assets that elevate the mood. While the pacing and emotions work well, a few of the action sequences feel slightly over-the-top. Overall, movie is a decent watch.
Positives:
Engaging story and screenplay
Ravi Babu's performance
Excellent background score
Thrilling climax
Negatives:
Excessive action sequences
Bottomline: A simple story elevated by good execution
Rating: 2.5/5
