Ra Ra Krishnayya Movie Review

on Jul 4, 2014

Story :

Ra Ra Krishnayya starts off showing Sundeep Kishan (Kittu) as a hard working youngster who is trying to create his own identity. He saves all his hard earned money with Tanikella Bharani, Regina Cassandra's (Nandu) father. After realizing that Kittu is growing on a tremendous rate in his career, Nandhu's father ends up cheating Kittu. Following this, Kittu kidnaps Nandu to get back his money and in this process he falls in love with her. All this forms the first half of the film.

In the second half, Jagapathi Babu (Jaggu) makes his entry as Kittu's brother. Kittu ends up telling his flashback about his family to Nandu and the situation takes a U-turn from here. Jaggu is a kidnapper by profession. Since Kittu doesn't like this, he sets off from home to live on his own. On the other hand, Nandu's father arranges her marriage without her consent. He sets a plot to find his daughter. Will Kittu change his brother ? Will Kittu express his love to Nandu ? What kind of obstacles are faced by Kittu and Nandu ? forms the rest of the story.

Analysis :

Ra Ra Krishnayya is a family entertainer with a boring concept. We can actually taste the influence of various movies along the stretch. In fact certain scenes even resemble a Hindi movie titled 'Chennai Express'. The film is dragged so much to test our patience. Ra Ra Krishnayya has nothing new to entertain us.

Perspective :

Performances :

After a successful movie like Venkatadri Express, Sundeep Kishan should have been careful at choosing his script. However, he did not compromise on performance. He was good at dialogue deliveries, dance and action sequences. Regina Cassandra entertained the audience with her bubbly looks and screen presence. She was a glam doll with good scope for performance.

Jagapathi Babu did not justify the tough image he sported. He was no way better than his previous blockbuster, Legend. Actors like Tanikella Bharani, Tagubothu Ramesh, Bramhaji and so on added a little spice to the numb plot.

Technical Aspect :

Direction :

Director Mahesh Babu P tried showing his style of direction but unfortunately, we have seen it all it different films. The plot is common and the scenes aren't unique. In a period where ample number of rom-com movies are releasing, Ra Ra Krishnayya turned out to be a disaster. The interlaced mass sequences were also not so powerful. A sincere advice to the director to try something actually new.

Cinematography :

The camera work was amazing in Ra Ra Krishnayya. The screen was filled with colors and the actors were portrayed in the best possible manner. Songs were shot in perfection and the locations were detailed well too.

Music :

Achu did attract us with two songs, but the rest of them were just too normal. The song titled, 'Ra Ra Krishnayya' was commendable and worthy.

Telugu One Perspective :

Plus Points :

1. Sundeep and Regina's performances.
2. Tagubothu Ramesh's Comedy
3. Good Cinematography.

Minus Points :

1. Routine Plot with influences of other movies.
2. Lethargic. The movie was dragged to the core.
3. Mass sequences with no intensity.

Bottom Line :

Ra Ra Krishnayya has nothing new to offer the audience. It is not an ideal choice for a weekend movie plan. One would definitely want to know when the movie will get over right at the end of the first half. Ra Ra Krishnayya is an incomplete meal after all.
