Peddi Rai Rai breaks initial records but can it sustain?

Mar 04, 2026

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan is creating another huge global sensation with his upcoming biggie Peddi second single, Rai Rai Raa Raa. He is crossing his own records creating new historic benchmarks for Telugu and Indian Cinema. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and composed by AR Rahman, the song has become iconic introduction song even before movie release.

The song’s debut has been nothing short of historic, securing an all-time South India record with a staggering 46.1 million-plus views. What makes this achievement more remarkable is how it eclipsed the success of the film's first track. The Telugu version recorded 29.21 million views in a single day, narrowly beating the 29.1 million record previously held by Chikiri Chikiri, song.

This volcanic reception is a testament to the combined genius of the team. AR Rahman’s raw, beat-heavy composition and commanding vocals provide the perfect canvas for Ram Charan’s explosive swag. The choreography by Jani Master is intricate and high-octane, yet Charan tears through every move with magnetic ease.

But the song did not really get into public like Chikiri Chikiri building on the initial momentum. There are some comments that it is slightly underwhelming from die-hard fans too. We have to wait and see, if the song pulls off even more records like the first single or not. Buchi Babu Sana is directing the film with Venkata Satish Kilaru producing it. Peddi is set to release on 30th April worldwide.
