Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan are teaming up for the Hindi-dubbed version of Hollywood horror thriller Obsession, which is set to premiere on JioHotstar on October 30 at 7 PM. The original uncut version will be available in both Hindi and English through the platform’s Peacock Hub.

Kriti will lend her voice to Nikki, originally played by Inde Navarrette, while Varun will voice Bear, portrayed by Michael Johnston. The project marks Kriti’s debut as a voice actor dubbing for another performer, and she described the experience as both exciting and challenging.

The actress said she was drawn to the film’s gripping, quirky and twisted storyline, adding that Nikki was unlike any character she had explored before. Varun, meanwhile, said dubbing for the film allowed him to examine the story from a different perspective and notice details he had missed while watching it earlier.

Directed by Curry Barker, Obsession revolves around Bear, whose wish for his longtime crush Nikki to fall deeply in love with him leads to disturbing consequences. What begins as a romantic fantasy gradually transforms into a terrifying experience, making the film a supernatural horror story with an unsettling premise.

The film was released in Indian theatres on May 29, following its earlier premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. After its theatrical run, the uncut digital release will give Indian audiences an opportunity to experience the thriller in its original form, with the Hindi version bringing two familiar Bollywood voices to its lead characters.
