Television actress Niti Taylor has opened up about a disturbing casting couch experience from her early days in films, revealing that a South Indian director allegedly demanded sexual favours in exchange for a role. The actress recalled how the shocking proposal left her stunned and eventually pushed her away from the film industry.

In a recent interview with Hauterrfly, Niti revealed that she had worked in two South Indian films. After completing her first film, the director approached her with an offer for another project. However, what initially appeared to be another professional opportunity took an uncomfortable turn when he allegedly told her that she would have to sleep with him to get the role.

Niti said she was so shocked by the demand that she could not even confront the director. Instead, she immediately disconnected the call, blocked his number and informed her mother about the incident. She also recalled having seen the director with other women earlier but said she had never expected to face such a situation herself.

The experience left a lasting impact on Niti, who decided against continuing her career in films at the time. She later established herself in television, earning popularity through shows such as Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, Ghulam and Bade Acche Lagte Hain. Her latest revelations have brought attention back to the casting couch issue and the difficult choices aspiring actors can face while pursuing opportunities in the entertainment industry.
