Nabha Natesh is making a selective comeback with the epic adventure thriller Nagabandham, and her recent interview reveals some truly fascinating behind-the-scenes details. After a forced one-and-a-half-year hiatus due to a serious shoulder injury from an accident, the actress chose this project for its unique script and sheer scale.
She plays Parvathi, a strong-willed Vedic student, a role that demanded a meticulous two-hour costume and makeup preparation every single day on set. What makes Nagabandham stand out is its immense scale. Despite being fronted by a relatively new actor, Virat Karrna, the producers backed the vision with a staggering 110 crore budget.
This budget funded ten massive, distinct sets. Most notably, a highly realistic recreation of the Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple was constructed. To maintain the sanctity of this space, the entire crew observed strict spiritual discipline, switching to a completely vegetarian diet and ensuring a resident priest performed traditional pujas every morning before the cameras rolled.
On the artistic side, Nabha highlighted a monumental song choreographed by Ganesh Acharya that features an astonishing 5,000 background dancers. The track blends classical dance with deep devotion to recreate the festive, spiritual atmosphere of Vrindavan. Driven by director Abhishek Nama’s meticulous pre-production and detailed storyboarding, this grand cinematic gamble is locked to hit screens globally on 3rd July.
