Samantha's new release Maa Inti Bangaram was initially conceived with a completely different flavour altogether. The project was said to be designed as a light-hearted comical family drama with Sai Pallavi in the lead role, banking heavily on her effortless screen presence, natural humour and emotional connect.

Director Nandini Reddy revealed that the original version leaned more towards family interactions, situational comedy and a rooted emotional journey. However, things eventually changed after Sai Pallavi could not come on board for the film due to scheduling conflict. That led the producer Raj Nidimoru to revisit the screenplay and redesign portions of the narrative.

With Samantha stepping into the project, Raj reworked the treatment and elevated the scale. Instead of remaining a simple comical family drama, Maa Inti Bangaram gradually transformed into a family entertainer with stronger action elements and a more dynamic character arc for the protagonist.

The shift helped the film to attract audiences in a major fashion. Showcasing Samantha's box office pull the movie has collected Rs.14.56 crores gross in two days proving Sam as a true box office treasure as a leading lady coinciding with the title.
