Megastar Chiranjeevi attended the success celebrations of Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju and had high praise for the film’s approach to entertainment. Calling the film a success that proves audiences are willing to embrace something different, Chiranjeevi particularly highlighted the combination of Varun Tej and Satya.
“I am jubilant that Korean Kanakaraju found so much appreciation. Varun Tej and Satya are pillars of the film. Their comical chemistry and scenes have made the movie such a thorough entertainer. I need to appreciate Varun's outlook to always bring something new and he did give his best in this one,” he said.
Chiranjeevi also spoke about Varun’s choices as an actor and expressed his personal enjoyment of KOKA. “I am always proud of how Varun chooses variety of scripts. He never failed as an actor while content might had ups and downs. I enjoyed KOKA and wanted to watch it again for him and Satya. I would credit this success to Vaayuv Tej, Varun's son, he brought all the luck,” he added.
The Megastar credited director Merlapaka Gandhi for handling the film effectively and praised UV Creations and First Frame Entertainment for their planning and controlled execution. He said, "New filmmakers should learn from KOKA makers. When I enquired in what budget did they execute the Korean portions which looked rich, I was shocked."
He continued to say, "They planned meticulously to bring such output in controlled budget. People should stop extending days during shoot without any clarity. They should take this as an example and work in future." He also appreciated Thaman’s music and Satya’s natural comic timing.
Chiranjeevi felt the film’s Korean backdrop connected well with the current generation and said its success once again demonstrates the potential of well-made entertainers. Korean Kanakaraju has crossed Rs.40 crore gross worldwide in four days and entered the profit zone across all areas.
