Actress Nayanatara Becomes A Hindu

Hot heroine Nayanathara has sprung yet another surprise! Boasting of an original Christian name Diana Mariam Kurian, Nayanathara has converted into Hindu on yesterday (August 7) morning at Arya Samaj Temple in Chennai. The actress came down from Kochi and entered Arya Samaj Temple at Waltax Road in Chennai and has undergone Shuddhi Karma – a Hindu ritual for Vedic purification and chanted Veda and Gayathri mantra. Later, a Certificate of Conversion to Hinduism was issued to Nayanatara who returned back to Kochi yesterday evening itself. So the actress will now be officially known by her Hindu name, Nayanthara.

Now why has Nayanthara converted into a Hindu? To marry her beau Prabhu Deva, says a source. And if you ask Nayantara on this, the actress quickly said, “ Yes! I'm converted to Hindu now but on my passion and conviction". First Nayanatara sported Prabhu Deva's tattoo on her body. Her next movie was staying away from films despite offering huge remuneration and now she converted into Hindu for Prabhu Deva. So Nayanatara and Prabhu Deva are inching closer to the marriage? Perhaps!
