Iconic director Maniratnam and talented star hero Surya are busy doing Srimanthudu acts in Tamilnadu right now. Adopting a village when it is in dire need of adoption is something any celeb has to do and these two stars did it.
In the badly affected Thiruvallur district, Surya adopted three villages Nelvar, Kachur and Keragambakkam which are totally submerged. Similarly Mani is adopting Surya Nagar, a locality in Chennai's flood-hit Kotturpuram. People are saying that this is the real Srimanthudu act as the Tamil stars adopted villages at right time.
