Is Rajinikanth mediating to complete Indian 3?

Superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have been friends from the beginning of their respective careers. Kamal, even shared that he went first to Rajinikanth before starting his Rajya Sabha MP stint. Reports suggest that after K. Balachander, it is Rajini, who is so close to Kamal, that he shares everything with him.
Now, reports further suggest that Rajinikanth has started mediating between director Shankar and Lyca Productions for the completion of Indian 3. After debacle of Indian 2 and Game Changer, Shankar is unable to demand huge budget in his normal style and Lyca Productions is also not ready to spend so much.
Hence, Rajinikanth is trying to bring Shankar and Lyca Productions on to same page for completion of the project. He is doing this not just for Kamal but for Subaskaran, owner of Lyca Prodcutions. As the production house produced 2.0, Darbar, Lal Salaam, Vettaiyan with him, he has a good friendship with them.
He even attended Ponniyin Selvan pre-release event due to his respect for Mani Ratnam and Subaskaran. Now, we though he has issues with Shankar, he met the director and asked him to consider finishing Indian 3 in lesser budget. While Shankar asked for Rs.6-8 crores production budget, Subaskaran did not grant so much, it seems.
Currently, Rajinikanth is trying his best to convince both parties and let Indian 3 be released. Kamal Haasan, on the other hand, is busy with his MP duties and after a debacle like Thug Life, he is being careful about his next with Anbarivu- fight choreographers. He will decide about its shoot progress post taking MP oath, say reports.
