People’s Star R. Narayana Murthy believes Hushaaru 2 goes beyond comedy, addressing unemployment and the erosion of workers’ rights while retaining its entertainment quotient. Speaking at the teaser launch, the actor said writer-director Sree Harsha Konuganti had given him such a good role that there was no question of convincing him to come aboard.
Narayana Murthy pointed to the film’s underlying social concerns, highlighting how young people are losing their freedom and independence amid exploitative working conditions. He spoke about government-sector closures, the pressure on young employees in private and IT companies, and the dilution of labour protections. According to him, the film conveys that life should be about more than securing a job and earning money; it should also have meaning, freedom and self-respect.
In the film, Rahul Ramakrishna and his friends start a business intended to benefit society, only to encounter dangerous adversaries in a forest. Narayana Murthy’s character stands by the youngsters, encouraging their efforts to do something meaningful for society and the oppressed.
Comparing his role to Lord Krishna’s support for the Pandavas, the actor said the character becomes a friend and mentor to the young protagonists. He praised Harsha’s uncompromising approach to filmmaking and appreciated the work of cinematographer G. Srinivas Reddy, editor Vijay Vardhan Kavuri and art director Srikanth Ramisetty.
