Dulquer shares how Mammootty felt insecure about ageing

Dulquer Salmaan is one of the biggest and most popular stars of Indian Cinema. He started his career as next in kin to legendary actor Mammootty. But he is able to carve a following of his own by acting in different languages and in diverse scripts. His Telugu Films have all been highly successfull at the box office.
Now, he is starring in a period drama, Kaantha, that features him playing the character of a big star of 1950's and 1960's South Indian Cinema. Talking about the film, he shared how he never took filmmaking and film based career for granted. He further revealed that he saw how his father Mammootty felt insecure about ageing.
He stated that he saw his father finding age has his enemy and telling to his lawyer, doctor friends that in their professions age gives them higher paycheck but for him, it is different. DQ shared that he saw Mammootty hating to age on screen and being driven by the ambition to stay relevant for long and in demand.
Later, he revealed that Mammootty has been more happy with his choices and ageing roles in recent days as the times have changed. Well, Kaantha is releasing on 14th November and the movie had been in the making for 6 years. Rana Daggubati has produced the film and Bhagyashri Borse is playing the leading lady role.
