Dhruv Vikram Walks Out of Kill Tamil Remake

Jul 8, 2026 5:16PM

The Tamil remake of the Hindi action blockbuster Kill has hit a major roadblock. According to the latest reports, actor Dhruv Vikram has decided to opt out of the project after months of delays, leaving the makers in a difficult position. The actor was earlier reported to be playing the lead in the remake, but recent developments suggest he is no longer associated with the film.

The producers are reportedly unhappy with the way the project has unfolded. Sources claim the film faced repeated delays during its pre-production phase before Dhruv's sudden exit. As a result, the producers are now planning to approach the Tamil Film Producers Council, seeking intervention over the delays and the actor's withdrawal from the project. However, neither the production house nor Dhruv Vikram has officially commented on the latest reports.

The remake has been in the news ever since reports emerged that the makers had acquired the Tamil remake rights of Kill, one of Bollywood's most acclaimed action thrillers in recent years. Dhruv Vikram's name was strongly linked with the project, making it one of the most anticipated remakes in Tamil cinema.

Interestingly, Dhruv Vikram has already moved on to his next venture. The actor recently launched his fourth film, tentatively titled DV4, a commercial entertainer backed by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Karan Arvind Kumar. With that project now underway, the future of the Kill Tamil remake remains uncertain unless the makers find a replacement for the lead role.
