Music director Devi Sri Prasad recently shared his experience working on the upcoming film Sing Geetham, directed by 94-year-old veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. Produced by Nag Ashwin and Swapna Cinema under Vyjayanthi Movies, the unique project is scheduled to hit theaters on June 11.
The film features an experimental concept where an entire village communicates completely through songs and melodies instead of regular spoken dialogues. Devi Sri Prasad explained that this was the most challenging project of his career, as he had to convert the entire script into a musical format before shooting even started. He designed a new structural format so that these musical conversations would feel completely natural to the audience rather than forced.
According to the composer, the movie is a blend of comedy and deep human emotions. The cast, which includes Aayan, Ahalya Bamroo, and Shalini Kondepudi, underwent special training to sing their own lines.
Devi Sri Prasad specially mentioned that actor Kamal Haasan recently watched the final cut of the film at a studio preview and highly praised the director's unique vision. He called it as a great achievement for him to work with the legend and be praised by another one.
