Sharwanand takes on a strikingly different avatar in Bhogi, the upcoming action drama directed by Sampath Nandi. The teaser, released today, introduces a raw and intense world set against the Telangana-Maharashtra border, where a village finds itself under the control of an oppressive Patel.

The story appears to revolve around the villagers’ struggle against the landlord’s dominance and a man who rises against the system. Sharwanand plays this central character with a noticeably different look, body language and dialogue delivery. His command over the dialect and intense screen presence give the character a rugged quality that is unlike his previous outings.

Sampath Nandi sets up Bhogi as a story of oppression, resistance and survival, with the teaser placing considerable emphasis on its emotional core alongside the action. The sequences have a raw, rustic texture, while the visuals suggest that the film has been mounted on a sizeable scale. Bheems Ceciroleo’s background score adds to the intensity of the teaser.

Anupama Parameswaran also makes an impression in the glimpse, while Sharwanand’s dialogues add to the film’s confrontational mood. Produced by KK Radhamohan, Bhogi is gearing up for a multilingual release on November 12. The teaser positions the film as a high-octane action drama built around a village’s fight against oppression.
