Nivin Pauly, Mamitha Baiju’s Bethlehem Kudumba Unit directed by Girish AD, is showing no signs of slowing down. The Malayalam family entertainer has crossed the Rs.202 crore gross mark worldwide in 11 days, with the film putting up another strong performance on its second Monday. The latest numbers underline just how extraordinary its hold throughout Onam holidays.

The film had already emerged as Nivin Pauly’s biggest grosser in Kerala by the end of its second weekend. According to trackers, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit had collected Rs.78.45 crore gross in Kerala in 10 days, including a sensational ₹28.70 crore from its second weekend. It also managed to collect over Rs.9 crore on four consecutive days, a clear indication that the film is being driven by sustained audience demand rather than an opening-week spike.

Now, with its second Monday showing another major hold and advance bookings remaining exceptionally strong, the film is heading rapidly towards the ₹100 crore Kerala gross milestone. The bigger discussion has already begun in trade circles: can Bethlehem Kudumba Unit go beyond that landmark and challenge the existing Kerala box-office benchmark set by Vaazha 2? Vaazha 2 finished with around ₹127.68 crore from Kerala, making it the current benchmark for an all-time Kerala grosser.

That possibility will largely depend on how the film performs through the coming weekdays. The encouraging sign is that Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has maintained unusually high occupancies well into its second week. Trackers predict that the film appears headed for a long run, with its next major test expected to come from Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game.

I’m Game is scheduled to arrive on September 3, with a wider simultaneous release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. That will inevitably put pressure on Bethlehem Kudumba Unit in terms of screens and shows, but the Nivin Pauly starrer has already built enough momentum to enter its third week with considerable strength. The movie Telugu and Tamil versions are simultaneously releasing on 4th September, those versions can add to All-India gross of the film.
