The viral photos of her exchanging rings in traditional Telugu attire are not from a real-life ceremony, but rather behind-the-scenes glimpses from her upcoming web series, Vikram on Duty, which will be streaming on JioHotstar Telugu.  

She deliberately kept the man's identity hidden and only used a camera emoji in her initial post, which proved to be a brilliant promotional strategy that had social media completely fooled. Interestingly, this perfectly timed publicity stunt comes right in the middle of a serious real-life controversy.

Ashu is currently dealing with a highly publicized legal issue after an NRI software engineer filed a complaint accusing her of cheating him out of Rs 9.35 crore under the guise of marriage.
