These days, Tollywood filmmakers are picking pageant contests for their movies presuming that they lend glamour and they also do not need introduction since they are already popular. Even the pageant women are pretty contended to play heroines in Southern or Telugu movies since they get the opportunity to expand tentacles. Taapsee Pannu - An ethnic Punjabi, Tapsee appeared in several commercials and she also won Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face and Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin. She eventually made her Telugu cinema debut with ‘Jhummandhi Naadam’ directed by K Raghavendra Rao in 2010.

Deeksha Seth- Deeksha Seth was a finalist in Femina Miss India in 2009, before debuting in Krish's 'Vedam' in 2010 opposite Allu Arjun. Subsequently, Deeksha signed Mirapakaya with Ravi Teja and Wanted with Gopichand. She's also playing second lead in Prabhas' Rebel.
Asmita Sood – The 22 year old Delhi based model is a finalist in Femina Miss India 2011 Contest. She is crowned Femina Miss Iron Maiden and Tissot Femina Miss Perfect Time. She was also part of ad commercial like Airtel, Vaibhav Jewellers, SBI Credit cards, Uninor, Imagebazaar, Big Bazaar, Coca Cola, etc. Here come Asmita Sood as an actress in 2011 debuting in the movie ‘Brahmigadi Katha’.
Rakul Preet - The 20 year old Rakul is Femina Miss India finalist and a student of Mathematics honors and a model. Rakl Preet Singh has done several ramp shows in Delhi as well as in other cities. She has done modeling in several print ads and few TV commercials and here she is debuting in Siddharth Rajkumar (Prabahs cousin) movie. She also signed a movie with Naga Chaitanya.
Sara Jane Dias - Sarah is a Mumbai based model and winner of Femina Miss India World 2007 title. She made her debut with the Tamil language romantic comedy, Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai opposite Vishal Krishna and also signed 'Game' opposite Abhishek Bachchan iand now sharing screen space with Pawan Kalyan.
Anjali Lavanya - Anjali Lavania may be better known in Mumbai as the one of the winners of the hunt for the Kingfisher Calendar girl 2010. This Kingfisher Calendar girl is all set to star opposite Power Star Pawan Kalyan in his next movie The Shadow (tentitively titled).
