Amala’s Cabaret Singing Goes Waste!!

Cabaret singing is something associated with 80s of India and these days its seen nowhere. Those that are no present in real life are often created by our filmmaker to mesmerise us on silver screen. In that way, even Amala Akkineni got to become a cabaret singer.

Not many know that Amala Akkineni has played a minute role in recently released Hindi movie “Hamari Adhuri Kahani” that featured Emran Hashmi and Vidya Balan in the leads. This Mohit Suri directorial is declared flop on day one itself and Amala’s role went unnoticed. There are just four scenes for Amala in the film, crucial and in combination with lead pair.

“I like Mohit Suri’s movies. Though I hear nearly 10-12 scripts every year, nothing interested me so much. But the role in Hamari Adhuri Kahani is riveting though it stays for just few minutes”, says Amala, talking about the role and why she accepted it.
