The Tamil film industry was left in deep shock following a tragic incident on the sets of Superstar Rajinikanth's highly anticipated movie, Jailer 2. On Thursday, a 28-year-old crew member named T Karthikeyan accidentally lost his life due to electrocution while working at the film's shooting location near Panaiyur on the East Coast Road in Chennai.

According to reports from the ongoing police investigation, Karthikeyan, who was part of the art direction department, was carrying out electrical connection work while helping to erect a house-like set. During the process, he accidentally came into contact with a live wire and suffered a severe electric shock. 

Although fellow crew members immediately rushed him into an ambulance, he tragically passed away on the way to the hospital.The Kanathur police have recovered the body, sent it to the Government Royapettah Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the electrical leak. 

Rajinikanth was scheduled to join the shoot later that afternoon, but filming was immediately canceled following the devastating news. The sudden and unfortunate loss of a young life has left the entire production unit and the local film fraternity in deep mourning.
