Horror drama 418, presented by Prashanth Neel and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, has reportedly recovered its investment within two days of release. The makers, who interacted with the media for the first time following the film’s positive reception, credited director Kirtan Nadagouda’s meticulous planning and the film’s sound design for connecting with audiences.

Mythri Ravi revealed that the team decided to give 418 a pan-India release after hearing the script, believing its horror elements would appeal to audiences across languages. He added that Prashanth Neel and his wife Likitha took the project personally and were actively involved in promoting it. The idea of holding a premiere in Mumbai to gather audience feedback also came from Kirtan, Ravi revealed.

Ravi said viewers have been particularly appreciative of the sound design and horror elements, while Mythri Naveen thanked audiences for giving the production house a successful outing in the horror genre. The team is hopeful that the film will continue its theatrical run and urged audiences to experience it in cinemas.

Director Kirtan revealed that he developed the idea after Salaar and worked on the script for over a year. He meticulously planned every aspect, from performances and music to sound and production design, to ensure the elements came together as a complete theatrical experience. Kirtan also thanked Mythri Movie Makers for backing his vision and providing the resources needed to realise it. Chaitra Achar, Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju, Preeti Pagadala are part of ensemble of the film.
