Karnataka is currently under a spell as thousands of fans of late Kannada hero Puneeth Rajkumar await the release of the actor's final movie, 'James,' on March 17, which also happens to be on his birthday.

Fans have erected large cutouts of Puneeth outside theatres around the state, and tickets for the film are flying off the shelves even five days before its debut. The film will be released in around 4,000 theatres globally.

People of all ages are excitedly awaiting the release of their favourite actor's final film on the big screen.

Puneeth's charity initiatives, which came to light after his death, have given the superstar a larger-than-life aura.

The Censor Board has given the picture a U/A rating. The film will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam. The film will be released at around 400 theatres in Karnataka alone. The film will set to create all-time records in Karnataka. It will be our last opportunity to celebrate our superstar Rajakumara 'Puneeth Rajkumar.'

The trailer and songs from 'James' have already gone viral among his fans.

Puneeth passed away on October 29, 2021, as a result of a major heart attack. His wife, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, and two daughters survive him. Ashwini is currently engaged in production business.

Puneeth plays a manager in a security company in 'James.' The military gear worn by Puneeth in the teaser was loved by all. Priya Anand co-stars with Puneeth as the female lead.

Sarath Kumar, Srikanth Aditya Menon, Sadhu Kokila, and Anu Prabhakar also play important parts.

Directed by Chetan Kumar and produced by Kishore Pathikonda, the late actor's elder brother Shivarajkumar has dubbed for Puneeth in the film.
