After reports about her injury went viral, actress Rashmika Mandanna has finally broken her silence with a heartfelt and candid note on social media. The actress assured fans that she is recovering well while revealing the extent of her injury and explaining why she has been away from the spotlight.
Beginning her note on a cheerful note, Rashmika wrote, "Injuries suck... and I was really hoping that no one will get to know... Sorry I've been MIA... but hieeee! I'm hereeee!" She also revealed that this is the third injury she has suffered back-to-back, admitting, "I should definitely learn to treat my body like a human body and not some machine."
Explaining what exactly happened, the actress said one of the tendons in her right hip got detached during the shoot of her upcoming film Mysaa. "There are four tendons on each side of your hip that connect your hip to your leg, and one of those tendons on my right hip apparently had detached. That has to attach again for me to be able to lift my leg up and stuff. This happened during my dance shoot for Mysaa. My God, that's the most aggressive film I've ever done for sure!" she shared.
Despite the painful setback, Rashmika maintained her trademark positivity. "Don't worry... it hurts but it's not unbearable. I feel like this is God saying, 'You'll never take a break if it's left to you, so here... let me do it for you!'" she joked, adding that all her recent injuries have been "random" and "freak accidents."
The forced break has also brought its own challenges. Rashmika admitted she's trying hard not to gain weight since she can't work out or run for a while. "I workout and run like a beast... and now I won't be able to workout or run for awhile. If I can't workout then what do I do... I eat... and I become a dessert monster," she wrote humorously. She also revealed that she's spending her recovery time solving puzzles and has discovered she's surprisingly good at them.
Ending the note on an emotional note, Rashmika reassured her fans that there is no reason to worry. "Love ya! Don't worry ok... Biggest loves and kisses and hugs!" she wrote, promising to keep everyone updated on her recovery. Fans and well-wishers have since flooded social media with messages wishing the actress a speedy recovery as she prepares to return to the sets once she is fully fit.
