Hridayam rights bagged by karan hohar

Karan Johar never misses an opportunity to surprise the audience. Following the announcement of his directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Dharma Productions' top boss has now taken social media by storm with the announcement of his next production.

Karan Johar made the big announcement on social media, revealing that Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios have bought the remake rights of Hridayam. Although Karan Johar did not name the cast, he did say that the remake will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. He wrote, “I am so delighted and honoured to share this news with you. Dharma Productions & Fox Star Studios have acquired the rights to a beautiful, coming-of-age love story, #Hridayam in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu – all the way from the south, the world of Malayalam cinema. Can't wait for you to see it!”

Given the current trend of remaking big South Indian films, Karan Johar has opted to recreate the iconic Malayalam romance drama Hridayam, starring Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Darshana Rajendran. The film was released earlier this year. Vineeth Srinivasan's subtle emotional touch elevated this film to new heights. Pranav Mohanlal's stunning blockbuster debut was made possible by the film's record-breaking box office collections.

If Karan Johar decides to remake it with the same director, it will be watchable. If the director changes, the entire emotional impact will be lost. I hope they didn't destroy this classic narrative of love and life.
