Updated : Sep 21, 2015

Heir to a big legacy, Akhil Akkineni is finally here with the trailer of his debut film, which is also titled on his own name, "Akhil". Directed by V V Vinayak, the film has it's music launch held as a grand gala event last night at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad. At the same venue, theatrical trailer was also launched.

If we have to go anything by the trailer, "Akhil" is all about a guy helping a remote tribe Zua situated in African continent and living near the equator. All the premise, exaggerated heroism, over the board dances from the debuting youngster look little routine and massy. But we have to agree with the fact that Akhil's dance and body language are rather impressive. For a hero who's having a fancy debut, this is as big as it could get. Akhil scores many marks, while director Vinayak conceived the film as a masala entertainer with almost all the ingredients stuffed in.

Coming to other key points, we have beautiful looking Sayesha Saigal, who looks promising and matched energies with Akhil. Visuals shot by Amol Rathod, background music scored by Mani Sharma, songs given by Anup and Thaman all converge into a nice piece of work though regular. These kind of routine films from big stars are scoring hits these days, so let's see what happens.
