There are many sentiments in the film industry and one such widely known sentiment is that of the ‘lucky hand’ of noted producer D. Ramanaidu who passed away. For many years since, it has become a habit for many in Tollywood to take a Rs.100 note from him on January 1st from his office in Ramanaidu studios. Right from senior producers and film makers to junior artists it had become a tradition of sorts as they believe that his ‘hand’ ushers them prosperity for the whole year. This year although he was sick, sources say that he made it to the office for some time and then left after greeting some of them and handing over the cash.
