On Rashmika Mandanna's birthday, the makers of Thalapathy 66 welcomed her aboard. For the first time, she will share the screen with Thalapathy Vijay. According to sources, the shooting of untitled film, tentatively titled Thalapathy66, will start in April.

The pooja ceremony for Thalapathy 66 took place in Chennai on April 6. At the ceremony, Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna were all joyful. Vijay, on the other hand, looked dapper in a blue shirt. Producer Dilraju and director Vamshi Paidipally were also attended.

The film has now launched with the Pooja in Chennai, which is attended by Vijay, director Vamsi, and other crew members. The first schedule, according to sources, would take place in Chennai and will most likely be a song shoot.

Thaman is said to be composing music for Vijay for the first time in the film. 'Thalapathy 66' is expected to be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, but the film might be a Pan Indian release depending on the success of Beast in Hindi.

Nelon Dlipkumar directs Beast. Vijay, who plays a spy in the film, co-stars with actor Pooja Hegde. Sun Pictures is bankrolling the film.
