Telangana Chief Minister KCR, who offered plenty of new employment for the state's unemployed youth, made some interesting comments on Telugu cinema and Tollywood stars.

"Telangana dialect was previously only used by jokers in Telugu films. However, things have changed since then. If a film is made in Telangana dialect, it will do well at the box office. "It's clear that the paradigm has shifted."  KCR said.

KCR went on to say that the Telangana dialect and diction are now much more acknowledged, which he considers to be a very positive development.

These remarks show that KCR is familiar with current Telugu films, and that he may have seen a couple of films with a Telangana flavour.

KCR's remarks are also somewhat true and partially wrong. Not all films employ Telangana dialect; it is extremely dependent on the film's setting, and most films use a language that is accessible and understood to the general public.
