There has been talk about Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor's Bollywood debut for a while now. Jhanvi Kapoor will reportedly be seen making her Bollywood debut with the movie Shiddat, starring Varun Dhawan. While previous reports had said that Varun will pair up with Alia Bhatt for the film, latest buzz suggests that it is Jhanvi who will share screen space with the actor. Sources close to Karan Johar said that the director is impressed by the girl and is keen to cast her, there is nothing concrete about it. Jhanvi already has a decent fan base due to her social media presence and there has been much speculation about her movie debut. Earlier, it was reported that the movie will have Alia and Arjun Kapoor along with Varun. Previously titled as Kalank, Shiddat will also reportedly have Madhuri Dixit Nene, playing the character of a mother of the female lead. Reports had also claimed that Arjun was not sure about the project as he felt that Varun's role was more powerful than his and he would be overshadowed in the film.
