Chitralahari, a romantic comedy was released in 2019 and went on to become the year’s biggest small movie. The film starred Sai Dharam Tej, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Nivetha Pethuraj, while Sunil, Vennela Kishore, and Posani Krishna Murali were also seen in key roles.

Now, this film is getting a sequel. This was one of the best films in Sai Dharam Tej’s career and Mythri Movie Makers is in plans for the sequel. It appears that Kishore Tirumala is developing the line for the Chaitralahari 2.

Meanwhile, Sai Dharam Tej took a break and will start regular shoot of Sampath Nandi's Gaanja Shankar. The makers of Sai Dharam Tej- Sampath Nandi film are trying to revise the budget and Niddhi Aggarwal is playing the heroine.
