Sabari trailer intrigues with dual Varalaxmi Sarathkumar

The makers of long-in-the-making Sabari, featuring Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, dropped the trailer on Thursday and it is a cauldron of emotions anchored by Varalaxmi’s powerful performance.

The near-two minute trailer packs in a lot of arresting visuals before the director Anil Katz chooses to reveal the plot– albeit not obviously. Sanjana (played by Varalaxmi) is on the lookout for her missing daughter Riya (Baby Krithika) and she has no idea who has abducted her.

As she begins her hunt for the man who kidnapped her daughter, she encounters many obstacles. After many futile attempts, she finally comes face to face with the guy (played by Mime Gopi) who kidnapped Riya but wait there’s a surprise (rather shock) in store. The one who has ordered the kidnap is a Sanjana lookalike.

Who is she? Why has she ordered the kidnap? We have to wait for some more time to know these answers. Overall, the trailer grabs your attention instantly and leaves you craving for more. After seeing it, we can safely say that the film will take you on an emotional journey of challenges, hope and love, while promising a riveting psychological thriller.

Gopi Sunder’s score heightens the drama, while the sound design is top-notch. Also featuring Ganesh Venkatraman, Shashank, Sunaina, Rajashri Nair, Bhadram, Phani, Krishna Teja, Prabhu, Archana Ananth and Keshav Deepak, Sabari, produced by Mahendra Nath Kondla under Maha Movies, blazes into cinemas on May 3rd.
