Thalapathy Vijay is now starring in a film directed by Vamsi Paidipally. The film will be shot in both Tamil and Telugu, and it will be Vijay's first foray into the Telugu film industry.

Thalapathy 66 will be released in Pongal, it has been confirmed. In this regard, SS Thaman, who will compose music for the film, recently spoke about it.

"The only thing that sprang to mind after hearing the story of this film was that the director created the story and every scene with Thalapathy Vijay in mind. Because the actor Vijay is physically matched to the story. There are six songs in the film and few songs already composed. We intend to add one more song if necessary." According to SS Thaman, Thalapathy 66 is an emotional film that will be a perfect fit for Thalapathy Vijay.
