SJ Suryah about Kushi 2 with Pawan Kalyan and other heroes?

Kollywood's versatile actor and director SJ Suryah is currently featured in several South Indian films. His latest project is the eagerly anticipated movie Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. During the film’s promotional activities, there has been some buzz about a potential sequel to his 2001 hit film, Kushi.

In a recent interview promoting Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, SJ Suryah disclosed that he had previously pitched the script for Kushi 2 to Pawan Kalyan. Although Pawan Kalyan appreciated the story, he declined the offer, stating that he was not inclined to take on love stories at the moment.

SJ Suryah revealed that he still feels a sense of disappointment over Pawan Kalyan's decision. He mentioned that the script could potentially suit other stars like Thalapathy Vijay, Nani, and Ram Charan. Despite his initial choice of Pawan Kalyan for the role, SJ Surya believes that the story could be adapted for these other prominent actors.

His comments about the casting possibilities have garnered significant attention. Released in 2001, the original Kushi was a major hit, starring Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika Chawla in a romantic drama. The film, which was a remake of the Tamil film Kushi featuring Thalapathy Vijay and Jyothika, was directed by SJ Suryah himself.

The success of Kushi established it as a significant film in both Telugu and Tamil cinema. With the sequel still under discussion, SJ Surya has expressed that he envisioned the film specifically for Pawan Kalyan. Although Pawan Kalyan’s current disinterest has led to speculation about other actors, the future of Kushi 2 remains uncertain and will likely depend on further decisions by SJ Suryah.
