Ranbir Kapoor's Shamshera OTT Platform and Release Date?

'Shamshera' is the latest film by Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir returned to the big screen almost four years after 'Sanju.' This film, directed by Karan Malhotra, was released on Friday with high anticipation and received terrible reviews.

Furthermore, this film had the lowest openings in Ranbir's career. Following the Pandemic, 'Shamshera' has become a crazy theatrically released film with positive buzz in Bollywood. However, it failed badly in terms of collection.

The film, which had a huge budget of over Rs.150 crores, failed to make even a share of 10 crores in two days of release. Some theatres have already cancelled shows due to a shortage of audience. Meanwhile, it appears that this film is nearing its end for OTT release.

This film, which is set in the backdrop of a periodical action drama, is expected to hit the OTTs soon. The digital rights to this film have been acquired by the well-known OTT platform Amazon Prime. According to Bollywood sources, this film would be available on OTT in the second week of August.

Soon, an official announcement will be made. Ranbir plays the leader of a bandit looking for freedom in the 1800s. Vaani Kapoor played the heroine, and Sanjay Dutt played the antagonist. Ranbir's chances are currently riding on 'Brahmastra.' The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, will be released on September 9. Akkineni Nagarjuna played a pivotal role in the film.
