Ranbir Kapoor for Dhoom 4 Protagonist or Antagonist?

Dhoom has made a significant impact on Indian cinema, with Aditya Chopra successfully continuing it as a franchise. All three installments have been major box-office successes, starting with the original in 2004, featuring John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan.

The sequel saw Hrithik Roshan take over John's role, while Abhishek returned. The franchise's third film, Dhoom 3, released in 2013 with Aamir Khan as the lead.

Since then, Aditya Chopra has been eager to develop a fourth installment, and it appears that plans are finally coming to fruition. Recent reports indicate that Ranbir Kapoor has been approached for Dhoom 4, with discussions ongoing for some time.

Aditya Chopra and Vijay Krishna Acharya have completed the script, which is now locked. The film is currently in the pre-production phase, with plans to begin shooting by the end of next year. According to the latest updates from Bollywood circles, Ranbir has formally agreed to join the project.

Dhoom 4 will mark Ranbir Kapoor's 25th film and is produced by Yashraj Films as a major big-budget project. Currently, he is working on Ramayana parts 1 and 2, alongside Love and War, and he is also scheduled to begin filming Animal Park in 2026.
