Superstar Rajinikanth is one of the few iconic stars of Indian Cinema and his charisma is undeniably historic. The actor has many legenday cult films and his fans love to worship him as Baasha, Padayappa and many avatars. Padayappa is one of this biggest blockbusters in every South Indian language. 


Now, he confirmed that the film will re-release on 12th December, on the occasion of his birthday, marking 50 glorious years of his career. He produced the film and hence, his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth, is heading the logistics of re-release. 


She shared a new re-release trailer and fans are disappointed with the "trendy" cuts and unnecessary addition of music. They wanted to celebrate the glory of the original film but the trailer disappointed them. So, they are posting edits from the film to showcase how the trailer could have been cut. 


Well, with Vaa Vaathiyaar final minute postponement, the movie is set ot create re-release records at the box office. Soundarya, Ramyakrishan, Shivaji Ganesan, Lakshmi and many legends are part of the ensemble cast of the film, directed by KS Ravikumar. AR Rahman composed music for the movie.
