Despite the negative reviews, Prabhas' Saaho enjoyed a strong first weekend at the box office in the Northern region. The film earned more than Rs 24 crores on its first day, placing it second only to Baahuali 2 in terms of opening day earnings.

No one expected 'RRR' to surpass this record, but trade pundits were keen to see if it would do as well as Prabha's 'Saaho,' which earned Rs 24 crore on its opening day.

The Hindi version of 'RRR' has grossed around Rs 19 crore nett. The Massive trio didn't even get close to the Saaho hindi belt first-day collections. Day 1 is a letdown, but Day 2 will be massive, with rave reviews and blockbuster WOM.

If the film performs well on Saturday and Sunday, 'RRR' might have quite spectacular numbers by the end of the first weekend. If word-of-mouth helps, the collections might skyrocket.
