Updated : Aug 28, 2025

Mirai starring Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram is releasing on 12th September and the movie trailer is unveiled today. Till date, the makers have kept the movie plot under wraps with teaser revealing about Emperor Ashoka's ambition to save ancient secrets.

Now, the trailer reveals almost everything including, Lord Rama visuals. The movie talks about how Ashoka summoned nine book that would withhold secrets from misuse and help humankind. As Black Sword is on the rise for all the books, he can only be stopped by a wielder of Mirai, which is a weapon from Lord Rama's time.

The movie tries to be a Marvel Superhero flick with desi mythology and historical touch. Will all these elements mix together in perfect proportion is the big question. Trailer doesn't really leave a big promise as the scenes look similar to other big projects.

Karthik Ghattamaneni has been a hit or miss director and we have to wait and see, how he handled this one. The uncanny resemblance with Kalki 2898 AD movie can also be not ignored. Trying to use Lord Hanuman kind of a trick, which worked in HanuMan for this one too seem a little bit of a stretch. Let's see how it all fares at the box office.
