Charming Star Sharwanand’s out-and-out family entertainer Manamey released in theatres in June. This Sriram Adittya directorial became disaster at the box office. The film failed to impress audiences.

This movie produced on a grand scale by TG Vishwa Prasad is a loss venture for People Media Factory. Recently, the producer TG Vishwaprasad responded on the failure of Manamey.

He said, "We had losses in Manamey because of a trader in the system who cheated us. We sold non-theatrical rights and they didn’t pay us money. They were greedy and it cost us 60-70% of the revenue. The case in the court now."
