Updated : Sep 20, 2025

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has been the most talked about Malayalam Superhero film in recent times. Being a female superhero film, made it even more interesting to enter into the world of Lokah. Kalyani Priyadarshan as Chandra delivered her best and Naslen, Chandu, Sandy Master have been great too.

Dulquer Salmaan produced the movie at a very high budget for a Malayalam film believing in director Dominic Arun. The vision of the director in creating the universe with more superhero characters has been loved by audiences everywhere. Tovino Thomas, Dulquer Salmaan and Mammootty have already confirmed in bigger roles.

There are many more characters to be introduced in upcoming chapters which will deal with Tovino and DQ characters. The movie has been a huge blockbuster at the box office and it became Industry Hit in Malayalam Movies. It crossed Rs.267 crores gross worldwide crossing previous record holder L2: Empuraan.

It is interesting to notice that biggest grossers of Malayalam Cinema released in the same year. While Empuraan had huge first weekend, Lokah caught momentum on the second day and sustained it to collect so huge numbers. At Kerala, Mohanlal's Thudarum still remains highest grosser while Lokah became second 100 crore grosser in the state. Next movies in Lokah universe will have even bigger hype and anticipation than Lokah and it would be interesting to see how the story unfolds.
